Network Security
Scenario: Your network is up and running and your employees are very productive and then unbeknownst to you, a hacker, from outside your network, decides to place Spyware, Malware, Adware, Virus, or more over, an illicit server on your network to send all your company's data to an undisclosed location overseas.
We can assist in preventing this from happening on your network. We can educate your employees, create and enable server and workstation Group Policies, which aid in preventing this from happening.
Workstation Security
Most vulnerabilities do not come from outside your network. Statistically, your number one weakness on your network are your employees. In order to protect them from themselves, you must create policies and procedures that employees must follow to protect your data, the network and more over the system they have direct control over, their workstation. Based on those procedures and policies, we can create Group Policies for your workstations or your network to reflect your organization polices and procedures. For example, all employees will change their passwords every 180 days (6 months) to prevent compromise. We can create and set an automated system policy to enforce that by reminding them at a predetermined date before the expiration date and and force them on the 180th day to change their password if they have not already done so.
Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) Security
We can help you secure you Wireless Local Area Network at your home or business. Even if we are not your choice to help you with securing your WLAN, ensure you are using some type of security. As a minimum you should use Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) or Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) to prevent unauthorized access to your wireless network and broadband connection.
